Agartala is working on two use cases simultaneously – Synchronization of Adaptive Traffic Control System and Conventional Traffic Lights & Flood Monitoring and Prediction. The first use case in a cost effective and innovative approach to scale up the conventional traffic lights and existing infrastructure to Adoptive Traffic Signals. A pilot project is this use case being executed at one of the busiest junctions in the city.
The second use case would help the city officials to predict the flooding conditions in the city more accurately and therefore, help them take preventive measures more proactively. This in turn would help reduce loss of life and property, minimising the impact of floods in the city.
