Why should a citizen submit an RTI application to the government for information? Why would a citizen submit a welfare benefit application? Why should the government continually ask citizens for information? The goal is to develop a data governance paradigm where a beneficiary receives everything meant for him Suo Moto without his intervention and with his consent. We contend that someone who has already submitted a document to a state department shouldn’t be required to do it repeatedly for other schemes. The utilisation of big data and databases that connect to and communicate with other department-specific databases holds the key to the answer. The flow of information between them is used to proactively incorporate the benefits for the eligible individuals while being securely, safely, and permanently logged in.
This presentation will provide details on the distinctive data initiatives undertaken by the government and their effects on the populace. Huge amounts of data are produced by numerous applications at various stages as everything, even in government offices, becomes digitalized. The proper implementation of data sharing mechanisms and data privacy in government programmes are being discussed in this session.
