Bengaluru has multiple modes of transport like BMTC, Namma Metro, trains, cab aggregators, e-bikes, bicycles etc that are extensively used by commuters for their everyday travel. These agencies operate independently, and don’t coordinate for trip connectivity, common ticketing and passes etc with each other. However, this is soon going to change as the city is working with IUDX to deploy its multimodal app use case. The mobile based app will help commuters with real time information on various modes of transport to plan their end-to-end travel based on their preference and budget. The app will also provide a single payment gateway and easy ticketing for all modes of transportation
